Ticket TipsBingo tickets are central to the game of bingo, and whilst all players focus on the numbers they bear when a game is in progress, few think about the tickets themselves. In this article we put tickets in the spotlight and present a handful of tips that can help you to improve your chances of winning. • First, aim to buy several tickets in each game, even if this means that you end up playing fewer games overall. Playing six tickets in each of ten games is generally better than playing one ticket in each of sixty games, because the former option gives you six chances of winning per game, whilst the latter gives you just one chance per game. • Buying multiples of six tickets (6, 12, 18, etc) is a good idea because all 90 ball clubs sell tickets in strips of six. Each strip will include every number from 1 to 90, so you will mark every number called somewhere on the strip and get the maximum possible entertainment value from the game. • Keep your eyes peeled for special bingo sessions that allow you to buy tickets at a discounted price. Many online and offline clubs have “happy hours” and if you play at these times you will be able to buy more tickets without having to spend more money. • If you purchase a damaged or marked ticket, bring this to the attention of the bingo club personnel before the game begins. Damaged tickets can be declared void when it comes to claiming a win, so you don’t want to wait until you have a full house before finding out that your ticket should have been replaced. • Don’t destroy your ticket as soon as another player has called a win. If the player has made a mistake then the game will continue, so you will need to keep your ticket intact in order to be in with a chance of winning should this be the case. Bingo tickets are more than cheaply printed pieces of paper (or, in the case of online bingo, virtual paper). They are the things that can give you a shot at winning life-changing sums of money, so they need to be treated with respect. Good luck!
