Susan Williams from Newton Abbot won almost £47,000 during her first ever bingo game at Gala Bingo in Torquay. Having never played bingo before her friend, a regular at the club Sue Guppy dragged her along for company, having nothing else to do with her day she went along and won the new High 5 jackpot on the very first game she played.

Being a new player her friend was watching her cards for her and helping her along, luckily her friend raised her hand for the house before Ms Williams even realised she was a winner. Thinking she had was almost £5,000 she was absolutely ecstatic but admitted to coming over a little peculiar when she realised the actual jackpot amount was £46,874.19.

The hall erupted in cheers when the win was confirmed and I should think that Ms Williams will probably become a big fan of bingo from now on. In the past she has had to save up for anything she wanted and being a little overwhelmed she has not yet decided what to do with her big win although she has promised herself a new mobile phone.

The High 5 jackpot is a version of an online bingo jackpot already playing in Gala Bingo clubs and replaced the National Bingo game at Gala clubs earlier this year.
