Mum of Three's Record Bingo Win

As if to prove that online bingo can be just as lucrative as playing in a traditional bingo hall, 52 year old mum of three Jo Collins recently scooped more than £162,000 whilst playing at Gala Bingo Online. This win smashed the previous online record of £130,000 by a long way, and what’s even more amazing is that Jo had only been playing online for five days!

So how does it feel to win a record-breaking online bingo prize? Jo describes the moment with enthusiasm: “I was at my daughter Melanie’s house when I realised I’d won a big prize. We just went mad and danced around. When I told my husband Mervyn, he thought I’d picked up £1,600. You should have heard him when I explained that I had won over £160,000!”

Jo, who is a Special Needs School Driver and a Meals on Wheels volunteer, has been married to Mervyn for 35 years, and she has some definite plans for her lucky windfall. “I’m going to pay off the mortgage, and the car, and go out to Australia to see the long-lost friends who introduced me to my husband,” she said. “I have three grown-up children and ten grandchildren and we are going to have a great party.”

Many people might seriously consider giving up their day job after winning such a six figure sum, but not Jo. “I’m going to carry on with my driving job,” she said. “The Special Needs kids rely on people like me to get them to school.”
