National Bingo Winners

National Bingo GameThe National Bingo Game continues to create delighted winners on a daily basis, and two recent winners have landed large prizes after years of trying. The winners, who come from Wolverhampton and Felixstowe, prove that persistence in bingo really does pay.

In Wolverhampton, a Mecca Bingo Club player won more than £15,000 by making a full house in 47 numbers. She would have won much more, but a player in Bristol also made a full house on the same number, so the National Bingo Prize of £29,064 was shared between them. A regional prize of £1,150 and a house prize of £24 gave the 48 year old Mecca player a total windfall of £15,706.

“My husband was very pleased and my two children said ‘Good on you, Mum’ when I told them how much I’d won,” the winner said. She had been playing bingo for twenty years, and currently plays four to five times every week at the Mecca Club in Bilston. Now that her years of playing have resulted in a big win, she plans to pay off some bills and treat her family.

In Felixstowe, a 68 year old lady who has been playing bingo “for many years” won over £11,000 at the Palace Club. She completed a full house in just 41 calls to win a house prize of £20, a regional prize of £1,000 and the National Bingo Game Afternoon Delight prize of £10,640, to give her a total of £11,660.

“I’ve never really won anything before,” the pensioner said afterwards. “I was sweating and shaking when I was told how much it was and I couldn’t play properly afterwards. My son told me to buy myself something with the money but I can’t think of anything I want. It’s still too much of a shock.”
