Take 5 Bingo is no longer available online and the following review is for information purposes only. A site that is similar to the old Take 5 Bingo is Saturn Bingo and for this reason all our links now direct to this site.

The Take 5 Bingo home page is a simple and straightforward lime green affair with a few informative animations thrown in to spice things up a bit. It focuses on shouting about the latest promotions and winners, and leaves visitors to click to one of five more subtle tabs at the top of the screen for more in-depth information about tournaments, the current bingo schedule and to get a preview of what the games here actually look like.

Before you can play here, you need to register. That's a simple matter of clicking on the bright REGISTER button on the home page and entering your personal information. When you have done that, you are ready to play. There is - apparently - Take 5 Bingo software that you can download. Unfortunately, the link didn't work when we tried it, and so we had to limit our review to the Flash powered web game. However, we suspect that there won't be much difference between the Flash offering and the download version - apart from potentially smoother game play for those with a slower internet connection, perhaps.

Take 5 Bingo is 75 ball pattern bingo, and the game screen is well laid out. Information about the pattern being played, the prize on offer and the amount of money you currently have in your account appears on the left hand side of the screen. The bulk of the central part of the screen shows 12 bingo cards, with a chat window below.

The right hand side of the screen is taken up by the numbers board during the game itself, but is used for blatant advertising in between games. We're not just talking adverts relating to the bingo room's own promotions here, but regular web advertising for totally unrelated companies. We would hope that the download version doesn't have this advertising, because it really denigrates the whole experience here.

Numbers are called by a female who sounds a tad bored by the whole affair (it can't have been easy recording all of those numbers one after the other) but the "Bingo has been called!" announcement is fortunately much perkier, and if the numbers grate on you it is possible to turn the voice off completely. Other in-game options allow you to have your bingo cards daubed automatically (this is the default setting) and to have them sorted into order so that your very best ones are shown on screen.

The chat here is very enjoyable and friendly, with plenty of regular visitors. This allows you to make some friends you will be able to chat with day after day - a "feature" which is arguably more important than any other. However, if you do need other features, Take 5 Bingo also has a wide range of mini games to occupy you in between the bingo games.

By and large, this site offers a good online experience. We don't like the non-bingo advertisements that creep into the Flash-based game, but the overall bingo features, mini games and excellent chat mean that Take 5 Bingo is well worth some of your time.
